How to Reach Weligama

Weligama has a station on the southern coastal railway line, which puts it within easy reach of Galle and Colombo by train. Buses along the Galle Road run constantly between Galle and Matara and will drop you in town. From Colombo, the expressway plus a bus or transfer is the fastest option.

Getting Around Weligama

The bay is long, so walking end to end takes a while. Tuk-tuks and scooters cover the trips to Mirissa, Midigama and Galle. The Galle Road runs right through, and it is busy.
